Economic self-sufficiency has become an increasingly important theme of resident services initiatives. This section is designed to help RSCs orient jobseekers to employment opportunities as well as programs to help them prepare for the job market. Special sections are dedicated to resources for older adults and people who have been incarcerated who are preparing for and seeking employment.
Connect-Ability - Brings Connecticut’s employers and people with disabilities together; provides information about programs/services in your area and technical assistance to job seekers including training and networking opportunities
Programs - Programs and education opportunities to prepare resumes, cover letters, interviewing techniques, and management of employment benefits (some of these are restricted to certain populations)
Resources for Older Adults - Various programs and employment and volunteer opportunities for older adults
Resources for People Who Have Been Incarcerated - Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and prison re-entry services
